For today's Mother's Day Celebration,
it was held in a Japanese Casual Dining Restaurant - Kuranonaka.

For a 10 course meal for four, the meal added up to a grand total of $190.65.
I feel that the meal is certainly overpriced, besides the fantastic ambient, there is nothing special about the restaurant.

The service, sad to say, was in the drains. The service staff who brought us to our table was downright rude when she scans me head to toe.

Just imagine someone doing that to you. Will you feel indignant?

Besides that, the service was really slow. Furthermore the waitress for our table even forgot to give us some menu, not to mention the fact that for us to capture their attention, it took us around 5 minutes of endless waving.

Yes, i have to agree that we are located at a secluded corner at level 2 of the restaurant, however if they had designed their restaurant that way, they will need to expect to have customers requiring their attention. Yet, they do not even have the sense to refill our drinks, or station any service staff at that level.

But to give the restaurant some credit, i should say that the food was a small notch better than Sakae Sushi and Ichiban Sushi.

We had,
1. Garlic Chicken
2. Saikoro Steak
3. Tofu Mentaiko Cheese
4. Hata Hata Yaki - Grilled Sandfish
5. Ebi Tempura
6. Kaki Fried - Deep friend oyster coated with Bread Crumbs
7. Salmon Sashimi
8. Yaki Cheese Curry - Baked curry rice with cheese
9. Garlic Cha-Han - Garlic Fried Rice
10. Zaru Soba - Cold Soba Noodle

Saikoro Steak & Tofu Mentaiko Cheese are really good!

When the Toufu Mentaiko Cheese simply fuses after entering your mouth, yet at the same time you can experience the freshness of the tofu and the Fish Roe.

As for the Saikoro Steak, it is served in a hot plate, drizzled with mild salty garlic sauce, I guess it was not the sauce, but the beef itself which did brings out the excellent taste of the dish. The freshness and sweetness was perfectly sealed in the beef.

Some really disgusting dishes were Hata Hata Yaki, where the "fish scent" was so overpowering that I almost gaged after tasting it. Another one was the Garlic Cha-Han, when the chef used salt like no tomorrow.

The other dishes are still passable, HOWEVER, the meal certainly does not worth every single cent of the $190.65. I CERTAINLY will not go back there again.

Some pictures for your visual enjoyment!
